Work From Anywhere Series | Episode 1: What’s Next?

Is remote work anywhere a dream? Or can it be turned into a reality? What are the barriers to doing so and the opportunities for companies that get this right?

Welcome to the launch of the remote work anywhere series. This is a series featuring some of the leading people around the world in remote work, global mobility and remote work compliance (remote work tax, employment law, etc.).

The first episode was moderated by Aurélie Krau of Festive Road and we were extremely lucky to be joined by Rowena Heneghan of RoRemote (3:57) one of the top 25 remote work influencers in the world, Hannah Brown of E-Estonia (5:15), one of the first countries in the world to offer digital nomad visas and Jordan Carroll, the remote job coach who has spoken at remote work events around the world (7:40)

The webinar kicked off with some key upcoming trends and statistics and evolution of remote work (11:20) before delving into the e-Residency program of Estonia, “the start-up nation” (21:22). The definition of a digital nomad (28:05) and how remote work kept economies going through the pandemic (34:50). Tax, the elephant in the room (40:30).
